Global Intern Strike

On February 20th, young people across the world will come together to push for an end to the exploitative and exclusionary practice of unpaid internships. Decentralised actions will take place in a range of cities, to call on employers and leaders to ensure that quality intern opportunities are paid and accessible to all - regardless of their socioeconomic background. Want to organise your own action or know of other groups who could be interested? Get in touch with us at info@interncoalition.org to find out more about organising in your city!

What do you mean by Strike?

The Global Intern Coalition has decided to call for a day of action on intern rights under the banner of a strike to highlight our growing organisational capacity and willingness to make a stand. This doesn't just mean not going to work. Different actions in different cities, ranging from walkouts, to protest marches, panel discussions to brainstorming sessions, are set to be held under this banner! So go ahead and find out what's going on near you.

Can't make it to a strike city on February 20th? Show your support and solidarity and share with Thunderclap on your Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.
